Description: Jurana stands at five feet, eight inches. Her height comes from her pernese farther. Her hair is brown and gets darker during the summer. Unlike most other girls she doesnt play with her hair. When Jurana wakes up she brushes it once and throws a bandanna over it. Her shoulders are unusually broad but this is to be expected with her height. Jurana is extremely agile from climbing in the rigging. This same conditioning developed her muscles. Jurana thinks she is too flat, and considers herself rather plain next to her land loving sisters. Jurana is part of the crew and can be counted on in a storm or other emergency to keep her head. She is a skilled line fisher. Several large fish adorn the cothold along with her brothers.

Disposition: Jurana is hotheaded. She wont back down from a fight and has trouble calming down. Jurana therefore, has become quite a good fighter and is now rarely challenged. She doesnt fit in with the other girls despite her Alskyr mothers best attempts. Jurana first of all, despises dresses. You cant climb in them and you have to be careful not to dirty them. Powders can run into the eyes and sting. Long hair gets tangled and can prove a danger in high winds even tied back. It could get caught in the rigging. And deferring to men? Ha! Jurana couldnt be meek if she tried, making a very bad lady to her mothers despair.

Siblings: Jurana has two sisters and four brothers. She is the second oldest, the youngest, one of her sisters, Canassa. Perhaps the gap between daughters resulted in Juranas ways. She grew up in a mostly male household. This might also be the reason for her rash ways.

Climate tolerance: Jurana is more use to the heat than the cold but she can tolerate most tempuratures. The sea is a strange thing and with a gale a coming, the cold spray kicked up by high winds, it can be quite cold.
