Brown Meresoitjath stumbled out of the hatching grounds along side his female bond. "I am so hungry." The slender brown said. You will be fed. Jurana silently replied. She was slowly absorbing the color of her companion. Did you think I would allow you to Impress a green? Well on this end of the egg shell you never know. Besides there is nothing wrong with a green. You thought so. I heard it. Greens never lead wings. How could....? Oh nevermind...look there is the food.
Jurana grabbed a huge bowl and sat down in an unoccupied space. Her brown nearly choked on her first handful so hungry he was. "Please chew."

Jurana got up tired, what was the fuss? She needed her rest. The record keeper's green disturbed the gold. Meresoitjath said sleepily. His eyes were a calm green in the dim light. I'm not going to get any rest now. Ready for your breakfast? I'll carve it as soon as I get up. Jurana sighed and left her warm nest.

People were sleepily talking over breakfast the morning events. The entire story was the green had never chewed firestone and had flown. She had laid six orbs in the Gold's clutch. This had infuriated the golden mother.

A dusty Fadurek walked in, covered in blackrock dust. "Did you hear what happened this s'morning?" Asked Jurana as he sat down beside her. "Yah, woke me up." "Woke everyone up," Jurana replied. She went back to eating her bran, occasionally sipping warm Klah.

Several seven-days later found Jurana washing her brown. Fadurek once again had contived to be helping her through under the careful eye of the weyrling master R'vfen.
"I think I will need a few firelizards if Meresoitjath gets much bigger." Jurana said as Meresoitjath headed out to rinse the suds and get in a good swim. "Yes, he is getting big. Almost as large as that bastard bronze rider." Fadurek replied.

Meresoitjath then returned. Jurana, Fadurek, the gold is calling, it is time for Fadurek to Impress. A deep humming picked up and Fadurek raced for his white robe.
"Hurry Mere. We want to see Fadurek Impress!" Jurana said, practically running up to the Sands. They settled in the breachers at ground level, in front of Fadurek. Sometimes ridermine, I think you care more from him than you do for me.
You know thats not true. You are mine and I am yours remeber? I can have other relationships. They won't surpass you.
I know. Her dragon's tone was sheepish as she laid her head on the dragon's soft hide.

When a shuddering egg gave a mighty crack, the song of the dragons went silent suddenly. Two other eggs shook themselves loose from the sand, rolling about. Three dragonets burst from their eggs at once - but the one who certainly took the greatest praise for a moment was the first to show himself fully.

A bronze, brightly colored and quite large, lept from his shell with a dramatic creel. His voice did not give out, he wanted to be heard! The blue and green who hatched shortly after him gave this big boy a very wide berth. He did not move from the middle of the egg pile, instead, he climbed atop another pair of eggs and spread his wings.

Jurana clapped the loudest at this first Impresson. Fadurek deserved the bronze even if it meant there would no romance between their dragons. Maybe they could lead a wing together, she leading of course. Meresoitjath laughed.

"Strange isn't it? Jurana said as she watched F'rek feed Tjereth. "Yes." He replied giving his bronze another handful. "He even said he approved of you." "Meresoitjath said that." Jurana said, gazing at her brown bond who was sniffing a full pail hungrily. "You just ate." Jurana scolded her brown who was not much bigger than the hatchling bronze. So?
